POPIA Notice

1. Our commitment

Fortem Equity Holdings (Pty) Ltd, a private company incorporated in South Africa and the operator of JobRunner, processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). This notice summarises how POPIA applies to JobRunner and how to exercise your rights. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. Information Officer

Our Information Officer is responsible for POPIA compliance at JobRunner and can be reached at privacy@jobrunner.co.za. Please use this address for all access, correction, deletion, and objection requests, and for any privacy question.

3. How we process personal information

We process personal information lawfully, minimally, and for defined purposes: operating the JobRunner platform, managing accounts and billing, sending service communications, securing the service, and improving the product. Details of what we collect and why are set out in the Privacy Policy.

4. Responsible party and operator roles

For the personal information of our own users (account holders and their team members), we are the responsible party. For personal information that a business using JobRunner enters about its own clients, staff, or contacts, that business is the responsible party and we act as its operator under section 20 and 21 of POPIA — we process that information only to provide the service, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations. If you are a client of a business that uses JobRunner, your primary relationship is with that business, and we will refer any request you send us to them where appropriate.

5. Your rights and how to exercise them

You may request confirmation of what personal information we hold about you, request access to it, ask for correction or deletion, and object to processing in certain circumstances. Send your request to privacy@jobrunner.co.za. We may ask you to verify your identity before we act on a request, and we respond within a reasonable time as required by POPIA.

6. Cross-border transfers

JobRunner data is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the UK/EU. Section 72 of POPIA permits transfers to jurisdictions whose laws provide a substantially similar level of protection; the UK and EU data-protection regimes meet this standard, and our providers are additionally bound by contractual safeguards.

7. Complaints and the Information Regulator

If you believe we have processed your personal information unlawfully and we have not resolved your concern, you have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.

8. Access to information

Requests for access to records under the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (PAIA) can be directed to privacy@jobrunner.co.za.
